Mark Gettys, AIA

Mark Gettys brings a sculptural perspective to architecture, blending artistic creativity with technical precision. With a Master’s in Architecture from Yale, where he received the Drawing Prize and was nominated twice for the H.I. Feldman Prize, Mark studied under renowned architects Greg Lynn and Alejandro Zaera-Polo. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, summa cum laude, from Clemson University.

Before launching his own practice, Mark was an associate at Steven Harris Architects, where he served as project architect for a landmarked triplex penthouse on Fifth Avenue. He also gained valuable experience at Diller Scofidio + Renfro, overseeing high-profile projects such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Columbia University’s Business School, and private residences across Saint Barthélemy, the Hamptons, and Los Angeles.

Initially trained as an artist, Mark’s approach emphasizes form, light, and shadow, often sketching freehand to develop his ideas. He employs advanced 3D modeling, fabrication, and Building Information Modeling tools to create integrated, sophisticated designs that communicate clearly with clients and ensure high-quality construction with efficient project timelines.
